That's a really nice set up and I hope it does well for you. I wouldn't exactly call them lasers but they are decent shooters and quality traditional sporters like the 1710 are hard to come by in these "modern" times.

They're certainly expensive but the quality is there. The wind prevented a proper range outing today. Is that an older stainless 1710? I wasn't aware of one.
 
The laminated stock is a "special edition" built in 2010 & the walnut stocked version was available in Aus for a couple of years - This one is 2012 build. These are transition rifles when Anschutz was moving from the rear safety 54 action to the side safety.

Did you add a picatinny rail on top of the rail?
I have an incoming exactly same rifle , and I have a 11mm dovetail EAW medium size rings with a Leica amplus 3-18 scope to be mounted to it.
I’m not sure if the clearance is enough or should order the rail and rings together to lift the scope a bit up.
I personally want to have the scope sit as low as possible, and prefer to not have any extra parts unless absolutely necessary
 
Just got it from the mail, fresh out of the box.
Anschutz 1712 Monte Carlo stock with 5119 trigger, and a Leica Amplus scope. Perfect match.

Sorry I missed this earlier. The picatinny rail mounts directly on to the receiver with screws. Then the picatinny-style rings clamp onto the rail. My setup is perfect for a 40 or 42mm scope objective. I can still get the scope covers on and also sneak a Scopecoat overtop the covers for storage.

It looks like your scope is just the right height and your scope arrangement will be lighter than mine for field carry. It should work great. If I bought a 1712 to use as a hunting rifle, I'd just go with straight rings onto dovetail like just yours to save weight.

I just wanted the more robust sighting system of the pic rail for bench work, even though the returns are diminished because of the negligible recoil of the .22lr. In the past I had some cheap dovetail rings walk on me and wanted to eliminate any possibility of that.

Yeah I really like the stock. I saw the pictures Brad sent to me before purchasing. But the stock is actually a tad bit darker than it looks in the picture and the strips in the pattern is more subtle. I really love the feeling of this stock and smoothness of the bolt movement.
The bipod in the picture is Harris. I used a Harris adapter #7A. It’s just a little rubber piece in between the clamp and forend so that the legs won’t clash on the stock when they are collapsed. It also makes the clamp more tighter to the forend. I’m happy with the setup so far.

By the way how did you mount the bipod to your 1710? The bipod looks like a picatinny mount. I always have a hard time to find a good sling stud to picatinny adapter.

The rings I use are EAW low, not sure what height size it is but it happens to be a perfect fit. The scope blended in to the rifle very well, the size and the look of the scope is just right so it looks like it was made for this rifle. The scope was originally mounted to my 1761 MPR but I feel that rifle is a bit too beefy for this scope and I am using iris apertures on that rifle now. So the scope is off to this 1712 now

So I have spent enough time today huddling this rifle so far. I have to do some chores now to fulfill my promise to my wife when she approved budget :(

Was offered a trade I couldn't turn down on an Ultimatum Deuce. Picked up a KRG Bravo chassis from the guy right above me and an Arken 6-24 from Jerry @ Mystic. After some slight modification for the safety lever to clear the stock, I have a bolt 22 I have no idea what I'm going to do with. Lol. Maybe I'll enter a rimfire PRS match and come in last, who knows.

No idea, I just put it together last night, and it's the coldest it has been today since the 1800s, lol. -33c, won't be out shooting for a bit. Maybe in the new year I'll take it out and see how it does.

Hey Scotty , I've been looking at the Deuce (being from B.C.)
same as you , not sure what I would do with it.

It would be fun to try , let us know how it fares and
