Questar sells those Tactical Solutions dedicated AR .22LR uppers. There are two styles. The above M4 and a flat top bull barrel varmint rig. They are very nice.

I have found a couple of the problems with them though. I've found that the 27 round mags tend to jam. The 10 round ones seem more reliable. Also a round rubber piece fell out of mine. I'm guessing it was a buffer of some sort.

I've also had damage to two of the mags from a rimfire round rupturing inside the upper. Both times a chunk of plastic from the front of the mag blew out. One of my 10 round mags no longer works.

Lots of fun, good quality and fairly accurate. A couple of minor issues though, common to any rimfire that is being used to put large quantities of cheap bullets down range.

Here's the varmint version currently on my Stag lower.

Its not cheap. $1k for an AR Upper .22lr

It was $750 when I bought it. Not cheap but still worth it. I wanted an AR that I could practice with indoors and shoot metal with on the pistol range. I wasn't really that interested in 9mm since I knew I'd be getting a Storm later on. So this was the best option.

I have a Ruger 10/22, Remington 597 and a Thomson T/C R55. But the handling and speed of the AR is so hard to beat. It's just plain fun. I have a scope and an Eotech that I use for this rifle. With the Eotech it's lightening fast. Plus it looks cool :D

16" Tactical Solutions .22lr upper mated to an Armalite lower/DPMS LPK.
BDM 26 rnd mags
DMS 1-4 30mm scope
Runs without a hiccup.... :)

So this is a ar conversion kit? So would this technically still be ""Restricted"?
BTW very nice hardware, aswell a the other .22s on this thread.

My latest rimfire.

This is a Russian Vostock CM-2. It's the first generation model (The Ural model came later). The rifle has a feed ramp and does eject the empty casing (about 2 O'clock). The rifle is almost mint and came with the correct and matching sights (serial number on sights matches the rifle). About the only complaint is that it was drilled/tapped for a scope base. But.. since I plan on shooting this rifle that's not really a big deal. I haven't done any accuracy testing with it yet. But the trigger sure is nice. I suspect that this rifle was someones baby. It was very well looked after.

It's a complete upper assembly..

Simply install on an AR lower. They reccommed using a standard un-notched or "mil-spec" hammer.
Of course it's restricted... It's still an AR
You can however use higher capacity mags... The BDM's are 26 rounders

Its FULL auto. As fast as my finger can pretend it is.:p

That's a neat collection. I had a big grin on my face just looking at those pictures.

Hows the DPMS for feed/reliability/accuracy? How long ago did they sell those, I seem to recall they were going to redesign their 22 AR but then it never came out.
