Recently bought an ISSC MK 22.
Here it is with the stuff that has arrived for it so far. Troy rail protectors which are awesome on the rifle, I also have a Fab defense verticle grip; I like em both but I did my shooting on the targets below with the Troy rail protectors on.
5 Mags ( Thanks SFRC for the quick shipping ! ) with wearing the magpull mag grips, standard AR type fit like a glove and do not block the magazine operation.
picture of some extra rails, got a 4 pack off Ebay for 20+ shipping.
The rifle.
Fab defence verticle grip installed, and the troy rails installed in the next. The nice thing about the Troy rails is that they have that small tab that snaps in, which is easy enough to pry out with a fingernail, but it ensures they are snug and tight when on.
For those wondering, I have done a few tweaks already. I had to shim the standard BUIS as they wobble on the gun even when tightened. To shim them take a small bit of cardboard from a cereal box on top of the rail, slide the sight over and make sure that the screw goes under the cardboard; viola locked in place tight. The stock also has some serious wobble too it, so I intend to completely disassemble it and try to see what can be done to tighten it up as I hate wobbly guns.
Some targets I shot before tweaking the rifle sights, standing @ 25 yards. Rounds shot in two quick successions of five shots ( max my range allows in a mag ) while holding on the 6 oclock position. I've got an Acog style scope coming from marstar, I'll repost targets from bench scope shooting as I think the gun can do better than this. My Norinco JW15A shoots quarters at 25 yards with blazer 40 grain.
Remington thunderbolt 40 grain LRN
Federal bulk pack 36 grain hollow point copper plated
Blazer 40 grain lead round nose
( disreguard the bigger holes, I took a few quick shots with someone elses 226 )
Seems this one is like my Norinco in that it prefers the blazer. For those wondering about reliability I've done nothing to the guns internals yet and I did have a few FTE's. All the FTE's were always on the second last round ( so as the very last round was being stripped from the magazine ). I also have only had a chance to fire it with 5 rounds in the mag, so I cannot really say that it is problem free when the mags are fully loaded.
