Robarms XCR FAQ post

Sorry, it had been a while since I put my rifle together. I had a look at my setup last night just to jog my memory. If you go with the skeleton v4, you don't need any adapter to direct connect, with the skeleton lite you need the adapter (about 40 bucks I think).

It can be found here:

https://mdttac.ca/fixed-stock-adapter-for-lss-v2.html
It can also be found from bull's eye London, a forum sponsor.
I've got both, and I mixed them up. Sorry!

So,I just bought a XCR-L keymod (used). It's chambered in 7.69.
What do I need to change it out to .223? And what the diff between type1 and type 2 bolt?

So I got a complete bolt, barrel and shell deflecter.
Should be good to go?

There'll be a cheap 7.69 for sale on the EE soon:)
Any idea what a used one will go for?

Haha we could only wish.

What profile of barrel do you have? Taking a good guess "Light Contour" since its from a keymod model.

I got my eyes on the watch for a heavy x39 barrel.
I'm not sure. I took it on trade and planned on converting to .223, right from the get go:) Still waiting on the gun yet, I'll shoot a PM off , to the guy. See what it is.

I found out it walked out last night and this following experiencing some failure to feed issues during a match. Where can I find this heli coil?

It was already in the keymod, that I used to own.
But ,if yours doesn't have one, you can get one put in, probably have to use a smaller bolt though.
Or you can have the threads made bigger and use a bigger screw.
Any machinest should be able to fix you up.

I know this works, because I snapped my screw off,and had to drill out the screw, then retread it.

After going to the range the other week, I was wondering if anyone has tried using a different brass deflector than their installed caliber. Would using a deflector for a larger cartridge force the casing to actually fly towards 1 o' clock? My .223 prefers to fly at 2:30 and on to other shooters' tables, and while it's to be expected on a firing line, I figured throwing $8 to have my steel/brass fly somewhere I can see would be a nice convenience. I figured I could try screwing on a 7.62, 6.8 or even .308 on the back of the ejector and see if that would make a difference. Before I try experimenting, has anyone else tried this? If it makes any difference, I have a pre-keymod quad rail upper.
