Here's mine so far

What kind of mount setup are you using for your light? Mine is set up very similar to yours, and I was planning on getting an Inforce for mine as well.

I'm using the Haley Adaptive mount: ht tps://www.impactweaponscomponents.com/product/thorntail-keymod-m3m61913-offset-adaptive-light-mount/

So far so good. I'm thinking of ditching the vert grip and going to a LPVO like a strike eagle

Does anyone have a link to the page/file about all the different XCR modifications and different gen bolts and stuff?

I recall someone laying out all the type 0,1,2 stuff

This might seem like an obvious question/answer but why are so many moving to non-restricted rifles like the XCR-L over the AR-15 in Canada?
Is this simply due to the registration process of a restricted firearm and the fear of a potential gun ban and/or sweep on the AR-15 or similar restricted firearms?

I know there's many good reasons one would want to buy an XCR-L (piston, ease of barrel swap, gas adjustment etc) and I'm considering it as well... but my question is mainly revolving around the apparent regulatory concerns of non-restricted vs restricted.

Thanks

If you are only going to shoot at your local approved gun range, then it's a bit of a moot point.
However, If you are going to be shooting in approved crown/private land, or travelling from province to province or into the US, NR is a lot easier.

I have both NR and Restricted and both are great. NR is just a lot more paperwork when travelling outside the home province and then, as always only to approved gun ranges.

Does anyone have any experience with the XCR-L micro in 5.56 with a 9.5" barrel? Looking at one myself and curious to hear feedback.

Further on the non-restricted, if it isn't registered, it's not on a list to come and be arbitrarily seized from you. With restricted, there's an exact accounting of what anyone has.

The barrels for the XCR-L standard receiver all need XCR barrel extensions for the caliber and bolt if you want to go with the new barrel in 224 Valkiry just buy a barrel from Wolverine Virden
They come with gas block
