Does anybody know where I can find detailed close up pictures of the bolt? I'm concerned that I might have damaged mine.

I just happened to have mine out. Give me a second and ill take some pics and post them.

BTW, does anybody else find the charging handle a bit stiff? I have to really put some effort in. The AR guys seem to have it much easier.

I've been an AR guy for some time now. Definitely the XCR has the easier bolt handle.
It does feel like more of a positive lock with the bolt on the XCR, I find. maybe because of the handle being so close to the contact point of the bolt.
If it's too hard, I would have someone else with an XCR try yours out. Better safe than sorry.

Absolutely. Wouldn't want it lighter than 3lbs ish.

For hunting as well for sure, however I've never had any need for a semi in a hunting situation, be it for Moose, Goat or Deer either.

Some range time with my xcr 223. I am satisfied with the accuracy. My first 3 shots landed a 1/2" group at 100 yards but I don't believe in 3 round groups as being a testament to the accuracy of my rifle. Below is a 10 round group with Winchester white box ammo. Unfortunately, I jerked the tigger on my eighth shot and I knew it just after I pulled the trigger. Without the flyer, the other 9 shots gave me an honest 1 1/2" group. With the flyer included, it gave me a 2 1/4" group. Keeping that in mind, I still nailed a pile of gophers last Friday out to 200 yards without any trouble. I have no complaints with this rifle and hopefully I will be buying a 7.62 x 39 conversion kit soon for it as well.

Sadly, yes. You just have to drill the spot weld and try not to drill through the threads. Its easy enough.
