Rossi Ranch Hand full-size stock G/B ~ UPDATE - Feb 15/2013

Ok I don't know how to embed the pic but here is a link to a pic of the forend.

Paper towel rolled up and pulled through hole for magazine tube to provide contrast. Sorry, hard to take a good pic. The groove cut for the barrel is not cut square to the hole for the magazine tube. The cut gets deeper towards the rear and eventually cuts away any wall material at all.

I will try to take better pictures of the other stuff, just thought I would try to get a test pic out there.

Does it fit at all...?

The original fore-stock on mine was similar, in that the hole for the mag tube "broke-thru" into the barrel channel.

But you'd think that a custom stock would alleviate that issue...

I took off the factory stock today and it looks similar; very thin (like paper) to the point of it actually breaking through for most of the middle portion.
I assume this is normal.

I cut away the entire middle with a sharp knife, then sanded to clean it up. Looks much better and functions the same.

I too am curious if it fits. Please slide it on and install the barrel band then post.

It might be the angle of the picture, but the area by the barrel band looks strange. It should be a 90degree cut, whereas it looks like a 45.
Fingers are crossed for ya!

Just spoke with Rich, he didn't mail mine until Friday (not Monday like was promised).

He said he had to go to Regina (?), his sister went into a comma then passed away.

Mine should arrive Thursday, judging from the info on the tracking #...

* and although that's a fairly large/hi-res picture from Klauss, it's hard to see the finish on areas of the stock that are exposed (once installed).

You guys are killing me. ONE picture. Really! 21 pages and we have one picture. I really hope they fit as he is doing a stock for me for my ruger. Started well before this was going. Please fit, please fit.

Front of forend with band fitted. Band has gap all the way around. This area will need to be built up to get a snug fit. Also noticeable is the thicker right side. The left side of the forend stub for the band actually comes to a point on that side of the barrel groove while the right side has a flat top due to the extra material on that side.
