RPD Update.

I want to cut them that much slack. Unfortunately they have unrolled the whole spool of rope and burned it a long time ago.

I feel the same. Has anyone *really* challenged the FRT times? Is there a legally defined block of time in which it becomes unreasonable? In saying that, challenging the FRT lab could unintentionally delay it as now they would reallocate resources to fielding replies about complaints rather than the actual classification. :runaway:

From an email I sent to customer requesting an update, mid-May. Hope it helps.

-To Canada/CFC, we have been told that our guns are ‘ready for inspection’ in Ottawa, that was about two weeks ago. Exactly what that means I don’t want to get too over-enthusiatic about, but we will see.We were asked last week if the lab could photograph our submitted guns for their FRT, we agreed. We are still inside their original time window. There are no ‘bad vibes’ from on the matter. (They are so good that if anything weirds me out, it is that;) ) All is good I guess. “In the process”.

-To exporting from the USA, We are in regular communication with Dept of State on this subject and others, and can report there are no changes to the ITAR export regs expected or in the pipeline which will negatively affect our ability to export the rifles successfully to Canada for all reasonable duration. If there was, I would respond to this process in a different manner. As it was, we were made aware of the current ‘loosening’ or re-normalizing of the US ITAR regs well before the changes were announced. We talk with the people who write the directives. We maintain current and active export capability for the semi-auto RPDs.

So, beyond that… I spent last Mon-Fri in Florida with Stan, shooting RPDs (and much more) on range and into traps, full and (sometimes) semi-auto. Solid guns, solid work, solid skills, solid guy. We look forward to moving these forward ASAP. Late late summer, is my hope, but earlier or later, we will have them.

I hope this is acceptable to you as an update. We look forward to shipping you your gun. Have a great summer in the meantime.

So I might be able to have my rpd in time for deer season, would be nice with my burris tac30 1-4x24 mounted on the rear cover!

I kid I kid
