Ruger 10-22's......?

Looky, I had me on them there 10-22,s and I got rid of it as soon as I could. I had a lot of ejection and feeding issues and it damn near cost me $400.00 by the time I got a 25 rounder mad and a little scope to put on it !!
You got a hankerin for a fast shootin .22 iron that is more accurate, WAY more durable, and feeds and ejects without screwin up all the time, then you need to get your self a MARLIN 795. I got mine from Wholesale Sports in Cowtown for $150.00 out the door last year. I got a 4x bushnell and a brick of American Eagle 38gr hollowpoints with it and still came in under $230.00 !! It has shown itself to be a dependable and reliable huntin piece, 3 times more accurate than the 1022 was.
I have yet to clean it, and it feeds, fires, and ejects every brand of .22 I have fed it. Just damn awesome !!!

I have LA on "Ignore" but I need everyone to stop quoting him so that I never have to see his stupidity again...

I bought one a couple years ago, a new stainless synthetic. It's my first synthetic stock, but I sure wish I had it in a nice wood one. Went hunting with my buddy on his quad last year, we must have driven 35 km to get to the hunting spot, and when I unpacked my gear, sure enough I had left my mags at his place :( Turned it into a single shot, and boy I was some upset. I'm now looking for a nice tubefed design, maybe a nicer old lever.
Still have it, but been thinking of selling it at the next gun show.

I always store mine with an unloaded 10 round OEM Ruger mag in the well.

Older ones are better. I run 1994 10/22, They will have metal barrel bands, metal trigger mech. You can date it by serial number.

Your right, but those new ones that just came out with the full length walnut stock are really pretty. I can see one calling my name in the future.

Mr. Airwolf will be taking a little time-out from CGN. ;)

I don't own a semi auto 22 rimfire................
So much discussions on the 10-22's and how great they are.
Not sure I need one, but the only one I'd consider may be the
first or original ones.
When did they start to market these twackers?
How does one tell the earlier versions verses the current ones?
Gun show coming up and maybe I may have some taste budds for one.

Info on distinguishing these pew pews would be helpful.

It is what it is.... it's a fun platform to either build on or just keep stock. I say this a lot, but if you get one grab a KIDD or Volquartsen extractor and it'll eat up an spit out whatever you feed it with accuracy good enough to take down squirrels at 50 yards with budget optics...
