I have a RAR 556 and really like how it shoots but I’m having issues with feeding issues from LAR mags, binding/jamming. Anyone else experiencing this and have solutions. Mag feels a bit sloppy for and aft.

What kind of ammo is everyone using in these? Especially the guys saying that their's shoots MOA? I'm using Federal XM193 55gr and am getting 2.5-3 MOA with the odd 2 MOA group. I don't reload so what ammo should I try if I want to get some tighter groups?

That XM193 is shooting about where it should for the parameters of its construction.
Federal Gold Medal Match is right around the gold standard for a few calibers, including .223/5.56. If it can't shoot GMM at least quite well, it might be a dog (but not necessarily a guarantee).
After paying for GMM, you will quickly realize that if you want to chase accuracy, hand loading is the way forward, unless you have deep pockets.

If it doesn't shoot GMM well, I'd be tempted to blame something other than the ammo (cleaning, crown, how it is mounted/fastened in the stock, rings, scope mount, and lastly shooting position) and try, try again.

Also, while it is great to see some folks exclaim stuff like 'Hey, I shot a half minute group today!', take some of the claims of sub MoA (at least ones where the owner is claiming it is consistent) with a grain of salt, especially if it is past 100m...

Changed out the bolt handle and you'd think that after watching the videos multiple times it would have been a breeze, but no, it wasn't. Thank god my wife was home to lend me that third hand. Proof once again, that I am NOT handy.

Where did you find the Timney?

Just switched my 7.62x39 over to AR mags.

Is that one 10 round group or two 5 round groups?

These things sure do validate that a quality barrel is really all one needs.

i just picked one up in .450 bushmaster.

i don't like ruger.... but i do like this rifle.
it shoots better then a GSS for half the price....( and it doesn't blow up)

i got a three round ragged hole at 100m durring site in.

Love this rifle, my only complaint is the bolt handle doesn’t lock when the safety is on like a savage with their 3 position safety, few times hunting I’ve knocked the bolt half way up almost open. Besides that it’s super accurate for the money being easily moa, light, handy and takes common mags.

agree, I don't like the tang safety in the Mdt chassis I run either, have just been running it bolt handle up as 'safe' mode as it seems to lock there better, give it a shot, the bonus to the overly stiff magazine springs for bolt action rifles AR magazines

Is there a Canadian Source for factory 5 round magazines.?

I'm not aware of any company anywhere that makes a dedicated 5 round AR magazine for .223/5.56.

When I bought my Ruger American Ranch it came with a generic 5/10 AR mag. Hope this helps. I usually use my 10/10 LAR mags though.

I was thinking of running the same scope on my RAR. What height mounts do you have on yours? General impressions of that setup?
