Ruger PC9 What optic are you using?

The rail on the PCC9 is 'lower' than a standard Picatinny rail. From the instruction manual:

NOTE: The receiver-mounted, Picatinny-style rail is designed to accommodate
most optics and optic mounts intended for use with Picatinny/ MIL-STD 1913 rails.
However, due to reduced clearance between the top of the receiver and the bottom
of the optics rail, optics and optic mounts that extend more than .275" below the
top of the rail may not fit the PC CARBINE™. Ensure that the optic or optic
mount you intend to use does not extend more than .275" below the top of the
Picatinny-style rail when installed

I'll probably get some hate for this, but I threw on a cheap RioRand red dot

There are a dozen or so other names for for this exact same thing. It holds zero for me, takes cheap CR2032 batteries and I don't care if it breaks. If you're worried about snobs making fun of you, put a more respected brand name sticker over it or something.

The little Crossfire2 Vortex sells is a great little red dot. I have one installed on another PCC and for the money it works really well. I think it is better than the Sparc2 and is less money.

This is what I'd like to get for my Ruger PCC, I tried my Spitfire AR and found it too high for my liking, and besides I just bought an RBD-S today so that Spitfire is going there regardless.

I got a section of picatinny rail coming that I want to mount, going to to remove the rear peep site and place it there.

I have a trs25 on my carbine, seems fine for casual shooting, I have the dot on a couple different rifles.
I would prefer using a cmore red dot but I can't mount it low enough to enjoy using.
I have a holosun 507c on the way, it's going on a pistol, but I might pick up a second one. Why that one? Shake awake + auto off.
