Ruger Precision Rifle Coming Soon!

A lot of companies in the states can ship brakes, triggers, for ends , etc, to Canada. They must have the proper licensing in place. You just have to find out which companies do. I'm pretty sure that you can also order from irunguns.com and have it shipped from irunguns.ca.

I will use one of my brake supplied with my Nemesis, one is a 6 slots the other one a 8 slot, they use the same size treading...
The 8 slots one bring the recoil of the 308 to the 22 Hornet level but dam it's noisy... JP.

So, being pretty new to this, would i notice a huge difference in SFP or FFP? is it worth the extra 1-200 bucks?

FFP is beneficial especially when you want to range objects. The reticle will always be true and to scale no matter what magnification. With sfp, ranging must be done at a specific magnification and if it's not at either extreme ranges of zoom, there's the risk that you might not be set exactly on the correct setting. This will throw off your calculations, which can make the difference between hit or miss at extreme long rangez

If your life or orther's doesn't depend on your capability to accurately range a distance using your rifle scope, you wouldn't need it. Keep in mind you need a known length of something at the other end to calculate the distance. With FFP, your reticle will also become thicker as you increase magnification, so more of your target will be covered with it.

It is better to save that money and get a quality laser range finder...

The biggest thing with ffp is wind holds.
if you know you're holding .8 mils for 4mph at a given distance, and the wind is varying 5 mph, and you want to back the mag off to get rid of some mirage, try doing that math on the fly to correct for the reticle scaling with sfp !
I guess in a nutshell, you want ffp if you're intrested in hitting things with the first round.
You want sfp if you can have a sighter or two and want to shoot tiny groups after that.

Found another contender. Anyones thoughts on the Trijicon TR23 5-20x50? Thats what the dude has mounted on it in the video on page one of this thread.

Hell no.
Mil reticle, moa turrets.
Look at the night force shv series if you want a decent sfp with moa turrets and an moa reticle.
