why you say that? we will be getting two large shipments , first from IZH and later from bell.

Update on sirmailorder russian sks. i called them today and they said they have no idea when they going to come in and they trying to get another suppler for the sks. which really don't sound good for those of us that orderthem back in march 08. well time to go back and play with my m14s

its true if thats all fronteer is getting from IZH (80 sks) but his larger order is with bell .

gotto look at the bigger picture .

where are the rest of the IZH shipment going? over 1000 was imported witnessed by guess kto. so far we could only account for 50-60 from epps , woodbeef said epps will get more this month, another rumour is milarms will be getting 200 .

Got another email from Frontier today. My order for a select grade has been confirmed. Soon it will be in my hands after almost a year....

There's been a couple of other posts saying that smaller local gunshops will be getting some this month also. One in PEI and Al Simons comes to mind.

I just looked at my SIR order confirmation sheet that I printed out on the 30th of March 2008. I then called SIR and confirmed that my order is still on their books. The lady said, "Canada Customs is not letting the rifles in Canada as they are still illegal"... I started to say, "Well, they just need the mags pinned...", but I stopped myself and simply confirmed that my order was on their books and whenever the rifles showed up, my order would get filled...

I have a handpicked coming from Frontire. If Marlin's shipment is from the same supplier as Epps (IZN), than is it safe to assume that they are of same quality as Epps (Unissued)? That will make me very happy.

Well Claven2,if you take a wander over to the AK/SKS forum on Gunboards,you might just get a tad bit enlightened as to the existence of such Russian SKS rifles.

Yes, if it was said on an internet forum, it MUST be true.

For the record, I do belong to Gunboards and read there. To many Americans, the SKS is like a cooey is here - I doubt many of the GB claimants know much about them, certainly not enough to convince me their one example is a true-blue non-refurb SKS with a laminate stock and that the stock had not been changed out by a prior owner.

The recognized authorities in the US on the SKS are Howie Bearse and Doug Bowser. AFAIK, neither has acknowledged legitimate proof of a non-refurb in laminate wood. Period.

I was at SIR today and the gun counter fellow told me they are in country and being processed. I hope he was correct and whoever you got to speak to was incorrect - guess we'll see soon enough. Interesting different info on the same day.

that goes to show you cant trust any info from counter persons or phone ladies .

im going on the premise that the bell shipment is in canada and needs to have the mag pinned , pinning is a slow process .
