How about just removing the mags?
Yes I know the mags aren't detachable in the normal sense, but they do come off. (out?)
Deliver the shooter-grade rifles without mags. then have the mags pinned here, there, wherever, and have them delivered at a later date. This probably won't work for the matched-number rifles because of the logistics of keeping all the numbers straight and getting the right mag delivered to the right person.

They would sell it for $225 + tax if you want, unless you buy a huge lot. However, the other store can sell for less.

Condition is mostly nice, I didn't go over crates.

CFO wants all rifles together with mags, however I suggested to keep the mags separately, but at the end, you don't want to mix and match mags later + removing them will cause rifles to fell apart.

PS. Personally, I hope to get mine somewhere in January.

i rather wait then have the mags separated .

Is it because the guns were imported through Ont that the Ontario CFO get to decide whats what?
Isn't the RCMP in charge of firearms imports?
Is there anything good about Ontario at all?

PS, is this the main shipment you are referring to, or Marlins mini shipment?
 
"I had a pick at the rifles (no PMs!!!), they cleared customs some time ago, but they were not pinned (supposed to be pinned in Canada as before). The first shipment went to Elwood Epps and they didn't want to pin it for free + I think Ontario CFO don't allow businesses to pin mags anyway (new morontario policy?). As a result the whole shipment is on hold in Ontario by Ontario CFO. If CFO gives OK to pin the mags, then SKSes would go to the shops, if not, they would have to be exported outside of Canada, pinned and come back again. "

Are we talking about the Frontier 100 order? Or the large SIR order?

I saw a few nice Norinco Sks's at the Pickering gun show last week for $225 each. D's for more. Maybe I should just pick one up and wait for this saga to come to an end at some point! I figure, I can always get most of my $225 back at the same show!
 
How many shipments, and how many total guns are we talking about here?
It sounds as though there is a small group in Canada already, and a much larger shipment not yet here.
Is this correct?

not quite sure , guess kto post came out of no where .

this is the first time i heard of epps getting any significant amount and coincidently their inspection date is the same as frontiers mini shipment (maybe same shipment).
 
In my case it's thousands of rifles.

I have no connection to the importer, just came across it by "people who know people" and so on....

By the way, CFO has powers of the king, that's why I never bothered with "Registry" and is strongly against "C-68" aka Firearms Act. Read it. "Registry" is just a small tip of the iceberg.

Btw... did anyone hear anything about the absolute last shipment of Nork M14s coming in? Someone told me after this last batch of M14s coming into the country, we're never getting anymore again. I don't really believe it.

There has been nothing but bad luck when it comes to getting these SKS's. I just emailed frontier and got this back from frontier.

"The rifles had to be sent back to the impoter so that they can all be plugged together. I am afraid it may be after xmas."

So this mini shipment from another source with more middle men = higher cost had to be sent back to the importer in Ont so they can all be pinned at the same time , As with the 1000 that were spotted at Epp's . Sounds like one big shipment to me . What a joke ! But very entertaining .
