And wow, Selling them for more than they paid too, what a deal

No such thing...

I dont get it, I have an all matching but the stock 1955/56 IZH re-furb on EE for $300 shipped. I paid $346 for it a month ago and now I can throw it at anybody. I may just keep it for myself then too, if I refinished the stock and got rid of that mark it would be "as new" almost!!!

What a difference a year makes.

As one who used to collect SKS', I had to pay $450 for a collectible Russian one just a couple of years ago. I remember posting WTB on EE for them and not being able to get any below $400.

BTW, I have one on order from SIR - ordered a few days after the announcement came out last year - $214 including taxes and shipping.

So, if someone if able to get $350 for one, more power to them - supply and demand.

So in my case, getting one more of them is not an urgent matter - still have 8 of them in my safe.

yes indeed , i paid $400 for a painted SKS45 a couple of years ago , today it sells for half that price and even lower compared to SIR price of $169 . thats why i have to average down by ordering 5 from SIR .

Try bumping up the price to 500? I see there are two crappy Bell refurbs listed at 350 bucks. Not bad for a 200 dollar rifle. Yours should be worth at least 500 bucks... ;)

Now stop and think for a minute guys. Most of those Bell refurbs are going for $279-299 out this way these days. Add 13% tax to it,and if you have it shipped the price will be pushing $400. Not everyone jumped on the Russian SKS bandwagon when it first left the armory..........

I saw that too... they have some nerve doing that.

I see no problem with it. As mentioned...supply and demand. An item is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. If everyone believes its over priced, it will sit in the EE for ever, but if there is someone willing to pay more so they do not have to wait and hope they get one from some where else, why not.

You'd think that some people never heard of market fluctuations!

Prices jump, suck it up buttercup.

I'm sure there a few guys pissed thinking their rare Russian SKS's would fetch a good dollar if they were to sell, only to be disappointed by the mass import recently.

Yeah... 350 without shipping for a refurb Ruskie SKS? Who the hell is gonna buy that when there's still quite a few around that are selling for a lot less?
It's just kinda disappointing to see. lol. But I'm not gonna lose sleep over it of course.

I have a couple extras, any takers...lol:p

Whether I keep them all or sell most of them off, who knows. They have hit this country with a vengeance and I have quite a few older guns that I want keep in my collection along with some nice old SKS' as well. Some of these SKS' I want to restore and I have a laminated one that I want to strip the stock and linspeed oil it, sand blast the paint off of the barrel and gun cote it stainless. How many is too many? I will let you know when the government won't let me buy any more...

Woodbeef, do you want the 55?
