Russian SKS45 long thread.

Williams Arms in Port Perry has received a dozen IZH unfired SKS,s. Picked one this morning and they have 3-4 unspoken for. Comparable to the very first ones from Ellwood Epps.

More importantly, they have 7.62x25 Tok ammo!!! Actually, one whole case and some open boxes. Finally I can shoot my TOK.

Do you know how much they want for the Crate of Tor and what about lose boxes?

Thx

If you want a D stock to butcher for parts. Collectors Source has one with the handguard for $50 on his site.

All ready have several D stocks & one of them have the usual Chinese crack so I will use the mag well metal from it ,
Got the Russian stock from a member who found it too short & went to a aftermarket stock on his Russian SKS . Now I'm looking to trade a SKS bolt cover scope mount for a Russian bolt cover with the star & date .
I never liked the original D stock & spike bayonet

Watch Ebay and Gunbroker. I think I saw some at Districorp too.

Isn't capitalism grand. If Homehardware can make money selling them for 200 dollars how can these other retailers keep jacking the price up on these old guns. There must be a crapload of them comming in.

It's called a captive market in a monopoly.

And given the inflated price of the ammo that is $25 can in Europe and then goes up to $300 Can in Canada...then I can only imagine what the price mark up is on these carbines.

Kudos to the Home hardware for keeping it real.

HH price does look attractive at first but it wasnt for us who had to pay shipping . so when i ordered my SKS from them, they then notified me the shipping charges is $40 or $160 for 4 SKS.

compare that to SIR whos black paint SKS was also $200 but the shipping was under $20 for 4 .

even so i was happy with both HH and SIR , the price i paid was relative to what i got , bright carrier from HH and black paint carrier from SIR.

so what im saying is it depends on the quality of the SKS , i wouldnt mind paying higher if the quality are better.

Really? Do they get ammo dirt cheap across the pond?

Ya but look at what you got for your $20 shipping! The average seems to be $35 from what I've found for shipping. Trade Ex is $25 though,as was Chilliwack Dart &Tackle.

i didnt know you saw what i received ? like i said i wasnt unhappy with my order from SIR , i got is what i paid for .

you are talking about each and what are the average cost for 4 ? same or reduced .

Did'nt have to see what you got from SIR. You posted enough about them for any one to figure out what they looked like.

Trade EX is the only place I've found that gives reduced shipping on multiple guns. Of course though I usually only buy them one at a time, myself.

Thanks for the tip!
I've got my unissued/unfired/golden bayo SKS today together with a few hundred 7.62x25 rounds.
Thanks again.
