Haven't had my S&W for very long. Been trying different loads for it. Best grouping so far was a 5 shot 0.25" using Hornady 50gr SP's at 100yds. 300yd group was 3.37" (5 shots) with a 20mph crosswind. Hornady 55gr V-Max 5 shot 0.75" at 100yds. Hornady 55gr's SP's were consistently grouping around an inch at 100yds with a variety of powders. Couldn't get them to go much smaller. Currently starting to load up heavier bullets for it. Really happy with it.

The Smith is 650 at Cabela’s but better off buying from bullseye they are good folks and likely get your transfer faster than Cabela’s.

Sold my Norinco to buy the M&P. Definitely higher level of quality with the S&W. The Norc ran fine but always felt a bit sloppy.

Prowl the EE for a good M&P 15 Sport2 deal.

Timing is everything. I got mine last November for $600 shipped and insured, almost new, only 80 rds fired, with 1x5 and 1x5/30 mags and a rail riser.

Yeah for sure the M&P is better, I was going to get it then this deal was hard to pass up. I think from now on I'm just going to be building instead of buying.

My question again in such thread, may a Norinco CQA be taken into the USA on a Form 6NIA?

Cos, if your mobility matters, a S&W M&P15 Sport has it all over the Norinco.cheers

No Chinese or Russian made Gun's allowed on the form 6 as far as Iam aware. And barrel length is too short for the US on the NORC

Hands down the Smith gets my money, quality is great, customer service is superb if ever you need it and, well, it's a Smitty! Having said that, the Norc's tend to work good, but aftermarket parts MAY require fitting, they're built like tanks but a bit rough which could cause issues. Get you an M&P15 and enjoy!

Why is this a question? It could be relevant when the norc was your sole option with budget ars. Now you have m&p sports, psa, sometimes stags go on sale... why would you waste your time on a norc with those options? For a $50 saving? That has zero warranty and questionable compatibility with accessories.

The Norc 1911's used to get by on the Form 6 of Canadian visitors quite frequently: when was this supposed to have changed?

Clinton banned importation of Norinco products after they caught the Chinese trying to import a boatload of full auto AK 47's into US in 1993. That is why we were buying Norinco .223 so cheap. Americans could not import it anymore. As far as I know, they have not allowed them in since they implemented the Form 6 NIA after 9/11. They had the Form 6 prior to 9/11 but modified it to Form 6 NIA after 9/11 for us.
