S&W M&P Compact

I have a Canada Post package from Questar that is currently out for delivery, so I assume I will have my replacement barrel in my hands today. Will report back.

Received it a little while ago. Looks to be 100%. There are no caliber markings on the barrel. Fits the slide perfectly, and more importantly was able to chamber and cycle several .40 S&W dummy rounds.

In case anyone is intereted, now that I have both the full size M&P .40 barrel and the .40c barrel together I was able to compare them. The .40c barrel is a tad shorter in length. Both barrels are approx 0.56" in diameter at the muzzle, however, they slim down to about 0.55" in a little further down. The difference between the two is that the point that sits against the opening in the slide. The point where the full size barrel comes into contact with the slide is already down to 0.55" whereas the compact barrel is still 0.56" where it makes contact with the slide. The full size barrel also seems like it has just a tiny bit more play when sitting in the slide.

This could explain some comments about the gun shooting low with the full size M&P .40 barrel.

Marked on the picture the points on each barrel where they taper off:

Hey Questar charged me so I'm assuming it's on its way (pending the transfer of course)

Mike could you tell me how much the barrel sticks out? Would you be able to measure it?

...that sounds so awful...

I can't understand this industry for the life of me... You know what happens to me if I mess something up at work... I fix it on my dime at minimal inconvience to the customer... You know what happens if I decide to take months to fix my mistakes... I get fired. You would think that they could maybe offer you the 9mm barrel at a deep discount and send you the 40sw barrel at no cost when it's finished.. That solution would make sense not the "sorry about your luck you'll just have to wait" this is nothing about questar so please don't take it that way
