Saskatchewan Gophers - lots left
Well people, I was over Mankota way last week. I took a couple of Savage Mk.IIs and a Savage .223. Lots of gophers, not much problem finding a place to shoot.
Restaurants in Mankota have good meals, the Grasslands Inn is $66/night (being frugal,(not CHEAP as the wife suggests,) I camped out---being retired, I have more time ---saving money on motel rooms allows me to buy more ammunition).
Typical small town friendlyness. Lots of gophers ( I left you guys enough to make the shooting interesting), grass and crops coming up a bit. Young gophers out, making it more of a challenge to hit smaller targets, but they are a bit inexperienced (stupid?) making it a target rich environment.
