So how many guns are you guys taking? I only own rimfires so I was thinking of bringing my 10/22 Magnum ( I will have to cover it in bubble wrap so it doesn't get scratched :D:D:D), 10/22 LR and hopefully by then I will have a lever .22. Get some good shooting in with open sights.

You guys?

I think I'm only going to bring my pair of .22's. One for me and one for the wife. If there's alot of rats, the barrels of the big stuff will take to long to cool, and I like to stay on the move.

Thats a good idea also, keep it nice and simple. No sense lugging tons of arms with you if you don't get a chance to use them.:sniper:

:dancingbanana: I'd love to make it, will camp, have been known to taste the odd beer, and maybe even eat bar-b-q. One question is there any Sask. rules that an out of Province participant would have to know about before making definite plans:sniper:

Remington 597 .22 scoped
Savage Mark II FV .17 HMR scoped
Browning Semi-Auto .22 open sights (wife's)
Stevens 200 .223 scoped
Diana 34 .22 open sights

Glad to have you, and good question. C2K informed me that gophers are good to go. But only sask residents are allowed to shoot coyotes or other critters. Other then that, as long as your rifles are registered, and your licensed, you'll be ok.

Subject to the next big flood or having to work for the CPC in the next election I'll be there, wish I was closer to help out with the campsite. I take it everyone is looking after themselves (food, b**r etc.) and then maybe do a pot luck on site??:dancingbanana::dancingbanana:

Gopher Shoot

I have helped organize a much smaller gathering just south of Swift Current for the may long weekend. There will be 4-6 of us travelling down to S C on the thursday may15th, so we'll be able to give you a heads up on the gopher numbers for the area after we kill about 10,000 or so. FS

I am so looking forward to this....

What kinda stuff is everyone bringing...

Just a thought, but how about bringing some of you special cool gear,
if you have any..

Not everyone gets to see all the gear that there is out there, or handle it or see it in action...

The only bit of gear that I have that I think is just awesome is my MSR Dragonfly camp stove..
I'll bring it along with a prefab kettle that is just awesome too (12$ made in NL)

Loook for the Red Dodge Dakota Quad cab with the Newfoundland Plate on front,. I will also be bringing some seal for you guys to try..as well as Iceberg Vodka and :eek: Screech:eek::eek::eek::puke::dancingbanana:

Ill bring my zombie killin gear, but it aint much :D:D

We might have to cut up some firewood for this as well....im sure my cuz has lots of deadwood laying around there....

Chainsaw might be a good idea! hehe I think my dad has one...but better to be sure!! When we go there in a couple weeks we can scout the firewood supply out...like I said I am sure there is lots of deadfall we can cut up....

I am also pretty sure that there is a firepit we can use...and if not then we might have to make sure there is one :D

We can load up the 500 gallon water tank and keep it near the fire if its a bit dry....if its scary terrible dry then no fires....
