Bushnell Elite 6500 4.5-30x50 with low rings, off the factory 0MOA rail.
Nice, I just took the rail off mine to clean the rifle up a bit before installing the scope, front screw was stiff, not tight all the others were good but the front one looked like it was stripped ,I think they used a power tool to screw these in and the front thread does not go all the was through so I believe they tried to screw it in to quickly and the pressure from oil and trapped air pushed back and stripped the first couple screw threads, it still works but I think the screw needs replacing if I can find one. cleaning it I have found it almost as dirty as my Mosin/SKS! And the threads under the thread protector were filthy and full of metal shavings. I think all these minor things and for some, not so minor is due to the pressure on the manufacturers to produce more rifles quicker to supply the increase demand! Not really a big deal and am looking forward to getting this rifle on the firing line to try her out!
All I did was mount a cheap bipod, take off the thread protector, wipe down the threads, put on a brake, cleaned the barrel, wiped down the bolt, mounted the scope and started firing. (I've since added a sling and a rear monopod and changed the scope from a cheap $80 Barska to the Bushnell)
I am surprised everyone is getting out that far without having to use a 20 moa rail! I have to get a sling for mine as it will be deer hunting this year And in the spring a new scope and stretch it's legs out, so these comments are great, good job fellas!
I knew I should have gotten a set of low rings, the guy at frontier I talked to said I would need medium rings for my 3-9 40 but there is still room to lower it I think I will need a cheek riser/rest anyway I think I can get one on amazon! In the spring I will get a set of low rings with my long range scope!

So im in search for optic and rings and what muzzel break you guys are using. My gun been sitting in my safe unfired since these came out originally.

Mine is on the way with a ATRS AR10 muzzle break form alberta tactical
It has some trijicon accupoint rings and a weaver 4-20x50 SS waiting for it here
Also some speer 180's to try out in it with lapua brass and varget....just trying to figure out the seating depth I will use...

With the right threads and caliber...
Low rings might be better than medium...you need to check with the dimensions...I have to go with my standard ones...I already have them
as for the hunting/precision part...and optics...you might get a better answer if asked in the optics forum?
