I do not normally post anything on any site, for any reason. However This seems like a time to make an exception. A little more then a year ago I purchased a Savage 93 in 22 mag (sage camo if u care). I shot well in it's first day out but after 30 rounds while shooting on a hot day a friend pointed out that the plastic stock was melting to the barrel and our groups were dropping off. I took it home.. carved out the stock so it was no longer touched the barrel only to have it warp again. I carved it out again. And again. And again. After hearing that savage was having a range day at our club I took it and talked to them (the savage rimfire plant being an hours drive from my house). They took the gun back, no question asked. Replaced the stock, put a new L-bracket on it and called me. I drove down to get it, they gave me a complete tour of the place. As if that was not enough, for good measure I got given 3 extra mags.
Unlike Remington who still won't fix my 870 barrel (2 months old) that get shells stuck in the chamber, they looked after me and went the extra mile.
In short, if u need a VERY accurate rimfire, buy a savage. U will help keep Canadians working, and they back up their stuff.
Thank u Savage!
Screw u Remington!
