I'm curious over what kind of proof I would need to provide as a retired military. I still have my ID number, dog tags and some other stuff but I don't have a photo ID. I suppose it's the same for anyone retired since I gave that up when I left.

I luckily have a certificate from my unit... not sure if all units do the same though. Maybe a picture of your DEUs lol

After a few discussions with Savage they have decided to open up this program to retired military and law enforcement.

Three cheers for SFRC and Savage!

As a current member, I'm happy to hear this deal is being extended to retired members. They have spent more time serving and have done more for our country.

As I said we'll be emailing people over the next week. Don't worry if you haven't gotten the form yet.

Anyone have suggestions on where to get steeper rails? I'm guessing any rail for a Savage model 10 should work?
The stock 0 MOA rail topped with a 30mm tube scope will put the maximum zeroing range to approx 800 yards (based on 168gn ballistics and 34moa scope adjustment)
Need more base angle if one is going to be experimenting into trans-sonic ranges...
