Haven’t used my aluminum one yet but I have to say the machining is really excellent and it fits the magwell perfectly. This is a must have for the 10/22.

Pretty much functions the same but I feel more comfortable using an aluminum one. Feels like there's less chance of it breaking. If you got the money to spare for it, why not I say.

The adapter works perfectly in my 10/22 and Winchester Wildcat. The polymer ones have feeding issues but not the aluminum ones.

Can someone describe to me how these work? Mainly, how are mag changes done? Do I still use the rifles mag release, would the adapter come out with every mag change, or is there a built in mag release in this adapter some how?

Would these work in a 10/22 that has been modified to use the HCmag from Dlask?

The adapter has a built in magazine release button on the left side. The adapter just clicks into the rifle. It will work with any 10/22 receiver including the TUF22 and receivers modified to take TUF22 magazines.

I assume the rifles mag release holds the adapter in, so removing it would be very easy...not retained by a screw or anything?
