SBI Ruger 10/22 Magazine Adapter

I have an older ruger 10/22 I bought the adapter through Tillsonburg Gun Shop.
The adapter doesn’t seem to lock in fully. The mag catch doesn’t seem to be catching fully as it does with my ruger rotary magazine. Is trimming of the pin that sits in the mag catch ever necessary?

Thanks

Will this work with a 10/22 in a magpul backpacker stock?

Did you ever figure this out? I have the same issue.

I know you need to open the bolt to insert the adapter, but once the adapter is installed, would it be possible to insert a new mag into a closed bolt? Or does the bolt need to also stay open every time you insert a new mag?

You can insert the mag with the bolt closed. There is a tight tolerance between the mag and bolt however, and sometimes some fitting of the mag might be required with certain rifles and bolts.
