Scope Tracking Maxed Out

Recently purchased this Ruger persion 22 LR and got mount a scope I had lying around … The scope was previously on a Rem 700 250 and worked fine
But when I get around 2 sight it in the scope wodnt track down far enough … Wondering if anybody has some advice or knows what I can do about it
Scope is an older bushnell yardage pro 4-12x42

I can't find any specs for adjustment range on that model.
Do you have a 20moa base on the rimfire by chance?

The OEM rail is 30MOA.

What distance were you trying to zero it at? If you've got a canted base (and an above poster is suggesting they come with a 30moa base) you won't be able to zero it at really close range.

50 yards …. I did 100 with the 250 previously

I also had it on a cz 455 with a 20 moa rail and was able 2 zero it at 35 yards

Hitzy and Wendell have the solution - 30moa is a lot to adjust for and that scope only has about 40-ish MOA TOTAL. I found that estimated data on amazon .com in a POOR review, saying they found 165kliks adjustment = 41 MOA. Depends on if they counted right I ran into the same issue with a scope I bought, I didn't notice the "Total" MOA and thought it was "Up & Down" instead. My solution was to get Burris XTR ring set and take 10MOA Off the 30 total of the rail I had. I could Zero at 25 with that scope. That cost ca $175 getting rings from Stoeger (best price at the time), you might find better OR take off that rail IF possible. A lot depends on how much you like the scope and what it cost. Probably the best. Then you can get Burris signature rings and get moa inserts to counter if its too much.

you coul try and shim it. Razor blades are thin and steel and may work.

My original plan was 2 mount this 1 but I only had low ring so I figured I’d give that bushnel a chance… And that bushnell looked cool

m1008 is prob right. The specs show only 46MOA adjustment, almost the same as my problem scope. Can you get that rail off or is it part of the recvr ? The 30* is your prob, not the scopes.
As for 'shimming' that B-scope, if you Don't crank down on the mounting screws and twist the tube, it could work. Aluminum from pop cans is flexible enuf. There are threads about "How To' doing that -> I found several on RFC by searching 'shim scope' .

If it worked with a 20moa base on another gun, then switch the 30 for a 20.
