Score my deer

I’d say anywhere between 140 to 150. Yes, that’s a huge margin, but it’s pretty tough to accurately guess just from couple pics
Good luck!! Hope one of you connects
Making memories together and meat in the freezer trumps worthless scores every time
Not even close... that is a meat buck.

Yep. Thread is interesting though. I guess different areas produce different sized deer but around here for a trophy hunter it wouldn’t get a second glance. For the next guy it would be deader than a dinosaur, and the next guy would think that maybe it could be an up and comer or maybe it won’t ever be but who cares because its not a shooter today. Everything is relative I guess; it could make somebody’s day or be a ground shrinking disappointment to his brother or cousin. Best just enjoy the hunt. A friend and I made a deal years ago that no matter how big a trophy was the second one of us started acting like we’d grown the horns ourselves the other would swoop in to administer a well deserved ass kicking😂

Hell, I have two mule deer bucks that consumed 3 pumpkins in my autumn display, they are 150 class bucks. I have a door-bell camera which has audio. When I see them on my cell phone I yell, "phuck off." They jump 3 feet in the air and run to the neighbours 5 houses down the street. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Haha yep well said! The trophy is in the eye of the beholder! Some people behold longer! This has been a fun thread! Anyone seeing anything good on their cams this year?

My first look says 115-120 at best. Second look says in two weeks he wouldn't be walking by without being given serious consideration of a hammer drop. Nice buck and well fed

Yes moms house is on Downey and the mule deer sleep on the front lawn all summer. Used to tick me off hunted in the Porcupine hills an come home and deer in the middle of the street.

Yup, that's Okotoks. I believe 150 mule deer reside in the Town of Okotoks................to many!

So...did you get this deer, OP? Was it ever measured?

I have no interest in "scoring" an animal, especially one that is still running around alive somewhere rather than laying dead at my feet. I have literally only measured one single critter in my entire life...and that was a bear, super easy, add together two numbers. But I'm amazed at how wide the range of guesstimates is among hunters who do this. The range seems to be from 110 to 150! That's quite a spread!

The outfitter in Alberta I worked for called me the best judge of inches on the hoof he had ever met.
The one in question here is a meat buck plain and simple.
It would not even make 115".

Let's put that in perspective shall we:

Book. Just. Mine.

Showed this pic to a couple guys that are pretty experienced in scoring deer both on the table and on the hoof (just for fun) to get their thoughts on its score. I have no idea how they guesstimate the spread from pics like that but one figured around 193 gross and the other thought 200-205 gross. I place it solidly in the 100 to 300 range.
