Scorpio EM332A mods - making a silk purse from a sow's ear

There isn't any difference in operation of any tuner. As long as they are heavy enough, they all work the same way. And you can adapt other heavy objects to do the task.

Tuna Cans can come with the 1/2-20 thread... or you can get adaptors to go from 1/2-20 to 1/2-28 or 5/8-24

Jerry, So you know of a good source for a 1/2X28 - 5/8X24 adapter?

I picked one up on Amazon a while back that while cheap, is pretty loose fitting on the threads.

Ebay or amazon. The ones I have tried seem to work great.

Light gusty and switchy winds at 100yds... a bit cold but had to go test my tuner on the Scorpio. You can see the directional changes of the wind between the 2 groups. Around 1" for not holding off for the winds... not sure what else you could ask for. Ammo is CenterX.

Thanks for the thread, lots of good information here. I just received an em332x and the crown looks like this. Is that normal? I'm not an expert but my other rifles don't look like that. I ask to know if I should contact the place where I bought it or not worry and try it!

Been a slow project and will get some paint on it when the weather warms up. Really like the material used in these stocks... but it needed a change in appearance and ergonomics. Some plywood and scrap lumber, epoxy, bondo... the stock material sticks very well to epoxy.

ARCA rail will get bolted on when finished.

Odd question is this the same for your em332a’s as well. Shop only had one left so couldnt compare. This is on the bolt assembly. Alot of play on one of the metal pieces in it.

I have some movement like that, but it does not effect anything that I can see so far.

I just bought one of these just bc of this thread. Initially impression is its a turd of a rifle. Ill do the common mods but can't see this ever being in the same category as a cz 457

I best mod I’ve done is to fire lap the barrels, much better shooters afterwards.

Thanks for the tip. My bolt close is the stiffest I've ever experienced. Was gonna tune the trigger and bed it but in all honesty if I can't get the bolt smoothed out with some polishing this thing is going to be a designated junker to beat up passing the time fishing at the river as is. Not worth the effort with other options available.

In my case I also found the muzzle end needed some attention - there were factory dents near the actual rifling. I ended up machining an 11 degree front 'target' crown surface and diamond honed the actual bore to produce a micro-chamfer on the rifling.

I own two of these EM332A's.

In all honesty, there is nothing I can really find as a fault.

Sure, I wish they had more of a target weight barrel and a more conventional style old school stock.

As much as I don't like the looks of the stock, I must say it works great and has a solid feel.

The bolt handle is a little close to the stock, but it still works for me, as is.

You could always change it out like Mystic has or possibly heat and bend the handle up a little?

Mine shoots great at 50 meters so far.

Mags are solid as hell and better than my Anshutz ones.

I have stripped both rifles right down, including the bolt completely and I really can't find a major fault.

I also have a good selection of .22 rifles and now, this is my go to gun.
