How did you convert the MRA renegade from straight pull to pump? This is an interesting piece of kit. Considering one for my daughter, but it would be nice to have a better trigger.
I have a Renegade, but turned it into a pump action. Works well, but is a bit mag finicky since I did it.

Does someone make a kit?
Yeah a DIY thing. Not something readily available for the Canadian masses.
It was DIY for me. I used 2 layers of 1/8" thick kydex heated and molded over the forend. I then took flat bar attached to the forend I made, extended it back along the receiver, and then drilled a hole for the charging handle. I then covered it with a thin layer of kydex after. How did you convert the MRA renegade from straight pull to pump?

Simple answer; because. Why not support Canadian companies and get an MRA Renegade?
Because I currently don't own any AR components and sourcing them is a pain right now, a pump action is superior for off-hand shooting, the Taipan is a bit cheaper, and I'm still a little salty MRA decided to stop working on a revised bolt handle. Why not support Canadian companies and get an MRA Renegade?
I've gone over to the dark side with "Canadian Legal" AR-15 type black firearms. Why not support Canadian companies and get an MRA Renegade?
Having used the troy par and taipan x, do you have a preference of one over the other, hows the taipan holding up after ### amount of rounds?I've gone over to the dark side with "Canadian Legal" AR-15 type black firearms.
MRA Renegade in 223 Wylde
MRA Renegade in 7.62x39
Troy PAR in 223
SCSA TaipanX
plus an MRA Maverick in 308.
It may be faulty logic, but if it is currently legal in Australia, NZ, and/or UK then I will consider it. If it is banned in those places, then maybe it's not for me at this time. While I believe the Conservatives would roll back some changes, I'm still waiting for the full repeal of C-68 so I can buy 25acp and 32acp handguns, as well as subnosed 38s and 357 magnums (which we were promised once Stephen Harper got a majority).
I'm using the Taipan more right now (it's my main 3-gun rifle for matches in Michigan). I like the adjustable cheek piece on the Taipan, but prefer the adjustable stock on the Troy. I think the Taipan is a bit heavier, and I'm not thrilled with the trigger pull on either.Having used the troy par and taipan x, do you have a preference of one over the other, hows the taipan holding up after ### amount of rounds?
