Does a pump action/straight pull .223 rifle need a hybrid muzzle brake/compensator? No. Do I like the look of it? Yes.

Am I aware that the durability of Tommy Enterprises aftermarket parts is in question? Yes. Am I willing to give a Canadian gun parts manufacturer a chance for my business? Also yes.

Sheila's outfit is almost complete. Waiting on a Hogue OverMolded AR stock on backorder and I will probably swap out the bipod for a Magpul or real Harris bipod once my credit card stops smoking.

I've been looking all over the inet and there are NO indications that anyone has done anything to lighten the pull on these Xs. Anything besides 'wear it in' and 'Moly grease' ? Will the trigger group melt down if the blue stuff is removed ?

I've had the Taipan for just over five months. Happy with shooting and owning so far, definitely not regretting the decision to buy.

It's fun to shoot and looks good while doing so. My American shooter friends do comment when I share vids with them that it's weird as heck to see a pump action .223 rifle, but these are the times we live in.

Like Buck1950 above I'm curious if anyone is doing anything to change the trigger pull or swap out the trigger.

I don't find the trigger to be egregious (no where near as bad as the stock trigger on the Tavor) but it is comparatively heavy at ~6 lbs. I can live with it as is but definintely would like to see it closer to 3-4 lbs pull.

Anyone swapped out the trigger successfully?
