Sellers Market for the CZ858!

Order in Council is a great way to eliminate a firearm without confiscation. They "grandfather" an owner and pretend they're doing them a favour. Truth of the matter is it is a way to make your rifle useless and avoid seizure/reimbursement.

In 1995, most of my stuff went prohibited...GALIL, FAL, SVD, FNC, under the premise that I'd be granted SAP's every year (Special Authority to Possess) which I provided dates to the Chief Firearms Officer that I'd like to take my rifles to an
approved Range to use them.

Except in 2005 the Chief Firearms Officer STOPPED granting us these SAP's. So our valuable pricey rifles haven't seen a range since 2005.

They CAN grant you the permit to go use the rifles...eventually they just WON'T.
 
It seems too many people on here are trying to get in on the prohib wagon instead of starting to organize and fight for them to not be prohib at all!! Shortsighted and self centered!
 
Is there a way to sue or otherwise legally challenge the government for compensation on (at least the) the tax dollars that they collected in HST/GST over the last 20 years for prohibited items?


I really do not care for the compensation, because I want the prohibitions GONE. However, I am just wondering if this is another angle gun & business owners can take to tie this sh!t up in the courts long enough to make a nasty stink out of it.
 
So if i understand , value of Vz-Cz 58 and 858 is going to 0 $??

like all others rifles likea SKS and FAMEA and SIG ??

No compensation for law-abiding citizens.
They have proven that they will more readily gave monies to ISIS rehab via poetry/art class and terrorist payouts.

I'll pay your $10,000!!!!! But it'll be in Zimbabwe dollars, hope you're fine with that. Buying a worthless rifle with worthless money sounds fair to me. :)
 
But in all seriousness, if anyone wants to sell me their 858 internals IE complete bolts, pins, springs etc I'll buy them for a couple $$. Pm me if interested.

That would work with your ( grandfathered ) rifles, the ones you own now, but when you buy a new rifle from a dealer, ALL the info is recorded and kept by the dealer for 20 years, so if something happens they track the gun to you,,, if you do not have the gun,, somebody got some splainin to do!

I don't think they are direct copies, the most important part, and the part that makes them prohib is the receiver, and that is different afaik, it is not easily modified to full auto. Therefore different frt and not scary !!
