Semi-auto magazine capacity

You're beating yourself up over something that has a 99.99999999% chance of NEVER HAPPENING.

Go shoot your gun and enjoy yourself! Stop worrying about $hit that's never going to happen.

If you're still paranoid... throw a bunch of shells or dummy rounds in your bag so you can demonstrate that your firearm holds the appropriate number of shells.

Someone lock this thread LOL.🙏

Question
I agree. It is crystal clear. Some small town cop who has never encountered civilian owned guns (legally or illegally) may disagree, though. The bulk of general duty policing work is traffic, domestic disputes, trespassing, and dealing with vagrants. The firearms act is out of their wheelhouse.
But why would they know your shotgun is holding more than it should?

Likely be some uneducated person at the range that you need to educate.

Small town cops are actually more experienced. I don't know a small town cop that is not a gun owner.

Haven't read the whole thread, but.... someone wrote a letter to the RCMP tech division and then posted the letter up here, I have a PDF of it on my phone just in case, but really I think that's about as much as I'd mess with it.

So what does said letter state?

Uploaded so anybody can use it. I forget who the user is that Emailed the tech branch, but they were gracious enough to post it up for anybody to use; so just paying it forward... Keep in mind, since this letter isn't addressed to you, it may not be legally admissible, but it at least it'll provide an opinion direct from the CFO firearms technology office which is who would very likely be used as an 'expert' in any legal case.... Just keep that in mind :)

The second paragraph in the response is what you're looking for.

Thanks for posting.

That aligns perfectly with my understanding. Hopefully some of the more nervous nellies will take some solace in this official-ish letter from our government bureaucrat overlords.

Not sure how common such straight up answers like this are from such people but this one seems clear.

This is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!

Of course. This isn't a "get out of jail free" card. If some moron cop wants to arrest you, they're going to arrest you. This is at least something to help plead your case.
