[SFRC] Scorpio Bolt Action .22s on theammosource.com

MR. Bird is that wood from an NS522 norinco ?

I'd love to get my mitts on that
It's not the stock the ns522 should have come with, but it's what Canada ammo sold them with back in the day. I stripped off the horrible brown paint and tried some Formby's tung oil finish on it that my grandpa had. Too bad it's discontinued, I wouldn't mind having more of it for some things, but it's basically just a varnish with a tiny bit of tung oil. It's not very good wood, the picture makes it look nicer than it really is, but it's not terrible either.

Great job and an awesome looking wood stock Kristian!.......:)(y)

Doctor deals still has 3 shorties and 1 long barrel in stock. $200 and $220 respectively. Same stock level since I got one from them last week. Let’s see how long they last with more eyes on them.

I seen that but was wondering about Doctor deals because they only seem to take EMT ?

Are they legit to deal with if deal isn't done in person but via shipping ? They list the serials as well...

I ordered online and paid emt. Packed and shipping notice the same day.

Canada post picked up next day.

From order to my house was 8 days total including weekend.

They even have a couple spare mags in stock. Most other places don’t.

He is 100% legit, closed his store front 2 years ago, but still in business.

Everything arrives well packed, wrapped in Corrugated cardboard and plenty of tape.

That 15% sale made these a super deal.
People were buying multiple units per order.

I'd expect to some in a week on g.unn.post for $275
"people" or you?
Do you work there?

^^^ There's already two on pun-ghost, a scoped shorty for $350, and the long barrel version for $250. Can't wait to see the prices now that they've sold out lol
Those were already on there and these guns have been "sold out" before. I've been watching for one for months and 250 is avg asking price. +100 for optics and a ring isnt crazy.

Not sure the value of you quoting my factual post here? FCD pointed out that there will probably be a bunch of them being sold on punghost in the next week. The ads in question I mentioned were both posted on the 11th, and I mentioned this yesterday on the 12th. Asking price and worth are two different things.

Im just pointing out these guns were "sold out" before this SFRC shipment and prices are the same. These things aren't going to explode in price like the JW15 did when it was unavailable because this thread contains all 8 enthuastiasic scorpio shooters (who already own one :D)

I just picked up some hardwood on friday to make 2 stocks.

I welcome anyone to beat me in the level of depth on this accuracy test
50y
7x magnification
6*
decent wind (blew my earmuffs off the table twice!)
For reference, my new CZ got 1.01" with S+B but costs $450 more.

After all the hype I decided to grab an em333a. After initial inspection, I wasn't expecting much without some work. The trigger is heavy and the crown looks like a dog's breakfast headed south. I hit Amazon for a $20 rail (still needs machining for the ejection port clearance), slapped some glass on it. Went and hit the range today with an assortment of ammo. Out of everything I brought, the CCI Blazer bulk pack really showed some promise. Probably would have shot even better if I didn't need to break shooting position after every shot to get the empty out as the rail prevented ejection.

5 rounds @ 50yrds & 10 rounds @100yrds (the one flyer was the goon on the gun)

Considering this started as a SFRC marketing post, you guys are giving it good mileage
Even the mention of a competing vendor gets traction lol

SFRC definitely had the best deal. I hope they bring more. I would pick up another long barreled one. They are fantastic plinkers for young teenagers. Well me too, the old git. I was worried about ejection but they eject fine and with authority. The one I picked up some 7 years ago had very wimpy ejection. Many fired cases stayed in the ejection port. The new ones seem to have differently shaped extractor/ejection. Apparently there was a redesign, just an observation but can't verify for sure. I don't have the old one to compare to anymore, only the barreled action left and bolt body, all other parts sold to people looking for parts.

Another bonus!
Fits a Kuny's cordless drill holster nicely and the lack of front sight makes it easy to re-holster holster and draw..... :)

My cheap luggage scale reads 5.25lbs unloaded mag and with the Osight S and a picatinny adapter plate... not as lightweight as a little badger for backpacking but for what it is not too bad!

Only issue I've noticed so far is the rear sling stud's hole was not to spec and would not accept a typical uncle mike's style sling swivel.
Easy fix with a 5/32 drill bit and then I had to file the rounded end of the sling stud a bit because it looks like the hole was a bit to far from the end to clear the swivel. The gun rides nice with a sling and the rear cutout of the stock is a natural and comfortable resting place to hook your thumb around when walking to stabilize the rifle.

I'm a bit shocked how much I like the stock, the only thing I would change is to shorten the front part of the stock a bit and have it a bit flatter in profile with some m-lok slots cut into it on each side and the bottom.

If you are drilling out the swivel sling mounts, make sure your drill is good. If you have to spend anytime drilling with a dull drill they heat up and pull out. They are a "T" mount in the plastic, not drilled. ask me how I know.....

Thanks, only one of my sling studs was tight, likely just a bit of a burr, it took minimal effort and time to clean out the hole with the correct size bit.... the bit I used was not new or special, but it was not old and worn out and I also made sure the drill was spinning in the right direction... :)
