Mr. Jenkins,
A flash hider is a component separate from the measurement of the overall barrel length and cannot be included in the total length of the barrel of your firearm.

Does a flash hider count towards overall length of a rifle?
For example, if I have a 10/22 with a 16" barrel can I add a 2.5" flash hider to the barrel and then put the rifle into a folding stock.
