Shorten PAL Approval Times

Finally, my application is showing up on the CFC website today as "processing." It shows it was received on Jan. 12. Im still waiting on my test results so i can fax that to them. I passed the test on Dec 16 and havent gotten them in the mail yet.

I dont know about the Mississauga store, but at the Markham store, one of the employees said they didnt have any in stock there.
Funny I called the Markham store on Thursday and he said they had them. When I asked if they still had any crates of the 7.62 ammo he said, I don't know. Ammo is at the front of the store.
I waited a moment figuring he would say hold on and I will check but instead it was talk to you later and hung up. A bit of an attitude but I better give them a call now before going up.

POL to RPAL Upgrade (12.6)
Received approval to upgrade my POL with a 12.6 endorsement to a RPAL last week.
The process was concluded within 28 days, although the 12.6 POL did not require a waiting period. A delay was caused by my interpretation of the application form.
Because I was acquiring non-restricted firearms, and had a POL(12.6), I had to obtain an RPAL. In completing the form, I checked off the box indicating that I wanted to acquire 12.6 items (which is not the case).
So, my recommendation is, if you step outside the normal acquisition process, call the CFC and confirm your answers prior to submission. There may still be further questions, but at least you can deal with them up front.

Sent in an application to upgrade from non-res to restricted. Followed the instructions in the OP, as me and my references needed to be interviewed. I mailed it on Dec 22, showed recieved on Jan 4, and was approved by Jan 18. Apparently there is no 28 day waiting period for upgarding. Also, there is no charge!

Called Deb again @ 1- 800 - 731- 4000 extension 7514 who is probably insanely annoyed with me for calling every week inquiring about my stamped results and was able to inform me that the delay (for my whole group apparently) had been due to my instructor sending them in 3 weeks from when he should have...
I actually started thinking of this as a possibility when I sent my instructor a message before Christmas asking if there was any issues with getting our results sent and I received no response, and still haven't...

It me a month to get mine back in december.i know a couple of the girls that work out of the miramichi office,they say if all information is correct it should'nt take more than a month.don't forget take your time and fill the form out properly.
Paper work is all good. Kinda hard to see my whole situation on this HUGE thread but my forms have been in since Nov 18, 2010 I've been waiting on my CFO stamped CFSC results.
