Shorten PAL Approval Times

I was calling them twice a week, each monday and thursday, since app was online. One day the told me one of my references can call in.
FYI: when reference calls, first thing they are asked - do they know what they signed, which date was that and what was in the paper where they signed. In 2 months he forgot it all, so lady told she can't interview him as reference. I was ####tin brix, mailed picture of app to another reference and he called 15 minute later saying he talked to some woman and things are all right.

You guys are killing me. Same timeline, received on the 8th, my references called in on the 4th. Called to see if my picture and references were good, all clear. They have a copy of my gun club membership. Just sitting on the Sask CFO desk, waiting for him to press a button. So frustrating.

was it for pal or rpal? what province please?
My application is online since Jan 7th and they just send it to bc cfo last week...i called in and they said have to be approve by an officer...is already 65 days
From what you say, going on the assumption that what Province you are from has an impact on turnaround, I suspect Ontario, Quebec and BC are identical.was it for pal or rpal? what province please?

So my reference called in today. I was hoping to see approved online but still no change. Anyone know how long after the reference check until the status changes online?
Timeline so far
Early Nov - Took CFSC
Early Dec - Took CRFSC
Mid Dec - Sent application without rubber stamped certificates (Ontario)
Dec 18 - App received
Early Jan - received rubber stamper CFSC/CRFSC certificates and faxed them in
Feb 11 - called weekly until this week when I called daily and my reference called in today.
Timeline so far

Reference called on Monday and I am still waiting for it to show up approved as well. Few more days should do it hopefully.

-CFO Stamped test results Dec 29th.
-Recieved test results Jan 9th.
-Mailed out application Jan 13th.
-Application recieved in Miramichi Jan. 19th.
-Appeared online Feb. 10th.

It's been 5 months now and I decided to call in as it just continues to say completed initial processing no in progress check at a later date and when I called in they said sumtin along the linenofnit has gone into review and that it could take upwards of two years to complete now!!!
What can I do?? Is there a way to speed it up?

So I called in to check on the status of my application. Spoke to a very nice lady, told her how I wanted to make sure the information was correct, nothing missing, etc.
She said its been entered in the system, I've served my waiting period, and due to the influx of applications it's probably going to be about 3 weeks until they actually get to it.
