My application was approved and license was mailed today, exactly 28 days after arriving in Miramichi. I guess the system works!

Damn that was quick, I sent out my application on the 23rd, and they received it on the 26th.
Hopefully my application will go through quickly as well.

I called them on the 30th after I found out my reference was called to ask them if anything was missing and the lady told me my application is in final approval.

Some good information in this thread.
Years ago my application processed quickly and efficiently, no complaints with the process.
Reference may not be home when call comes in, have reference call back and complete the interview, should minimize any delay.

Did you send in your application before receiving your test results?
If so, did you fax them in after?
I just got my paperwork completed today so I can mail it off tomorrow, but I'm still waiting on my test results to be sent back to me. I just want confirmation that someone else has successfully started their 28 day waiting period before receiving their test results, and then mailed those in after.

I sent my application in after waiting 3 weeks for my results. Once my results came in I faxed them in. My results didn't arrive for another 4 weeks.
My instructor just gave me my results immediately after the hands on test. I'm not sure why so many people are talking about having to wait for their results. Maybe it's just a Manitoba thing.

In Ontario, results have to be sent to CFO office first then copy sent to student. Instructors can not give them back after course completion. They can only show you your results. RCMP will only accept CFO stamped copies.

I think you are right. So far as I can see it seems that it's only here in Ontario that the results have to go to CFO office first, get stamped then sent to applicant to be included with PAL application. But it seems that once approved by RCMP it is a done deal. From what I have been reading in places like BC, after RCP does their thing, it goes back to their CFO for final approval. But I could be mistaken.
So you did send in your application before receiving your test results then?
Can anyone else confirm that the steps on the first page actually do work in Ontario? I don't want to send my application off tomorrow and then have issues because I didn't include my results. I know I passed, but I'd rather wait to get the results back than to have a bunch of problems because I sent in my application early without the test results...

They do work. Both kingstonsportshooter and I sent in our applications without test results, and faxed them in when we received them. You will receive a letter that your results were missing and they give you the fax number in the letter. Note that you can't do any reference interviews until they have the complete application.

Status Changed to Approved 10/04/2016 (28 days after receipt)
My wife was similar to mine but her's showed up a day later online, her reference received a letter to have them call in during business hours on 09/29/2016. Her application was also approved today(both PAL and RPAL as well), so both of us were 28 days for approval now the wait in the mail!
