So I'm curious, on the PAL application in 2014 it had a section for charges, mental health, etc and they only wanted you to note it if it was within 5 years but now that has changed and there is no longer a 5 year limit. I was wondering, if a guy was "arrested" under the mental health act for depression episode and then let go a couple hours later after being deemed safe to go home, is that something they will see when processing an application several years (5+) after that event?
I also applied online and had my application approved immediately after the 28 day waiting period
- Feb 5th 2023: submitted online
- Mar 5th 2023: initial assessment complete
- Mar 6th 2023: approved and license issued
- Mar 14th 2023: license received in mail
Gather signatures online is just entering your reference's emails in the online application, they'll get an email with instructions to login with GC key/banking and they'll have a disclaimer to read. Then they just enter their name and submit.
When they say 'initial assessment has been completed' what does that mean exactly? That was my status almost immediately after submitting online. does this mean they have looked at it or is this just a general canned message as soon as they receive it?

Any timelines for Alberta online applications, I'm about to take my course and I thought it would be fast, but reading this thread has made me realize that Im in for a ride, probably 2 months and 6 at the most, would that be accurate?

Thanks for the reply, I was very excited to get my course done and never really stopped to think in research the timeline for actual application, I better sit tight and brace for a waiting time as fun as watching paint dry.
