Shorten PAL Approval Times

I submitted my app, it showed online, first time calling in, reference called in and 10 minutes later I was done. It does make me wonder how people get processed though. I wonder if they take a look at the applications and sort by whether they're "easy" or not? Mine was a young unmarried application with no criminal convictions, no precious relationships etc etc so mine probably went into a "check references" pile straight away.

I guess anything is possible but that's likely improbable. For my app, I'm 48, happily married for 26 years, same job for 21 years, carried a badge as a Peace Officer now for 30 years, same address for 25 years, Mine should be so vanilla it's ice cream.

I was thinking if the final step is it goes to the Provincial CFO that the efficiency of each CFO would be the variable in the equation.

That was my thinking as well, and I think it does at some point, however when I talked to the lady on the phone today she said no it hadn't been forwarded on yet. Why it's sitting in Miramichi doing nothing I don't know but would love to get some insight.

Application Received on: 2015/01/07

Current Status: Your application has completed initial processing. It is now in progress. Please check the status again at a later date.
 
9th Jan? Don't expect it online til mid Feb.

How long does it take generally to receive your license after approval? I got approved on a Thursday and Friday is printing and mailing day, I'm just hoping I made it on the Friday so I don't have to wait another week.

Really?Mine was appprove on Friday..bet I just missed out on getting out on that batch!
 
For signing in to check in online... place of birth. I was born in St. Catharines. This is exactly how I spelled it on the app.

It's too early to be sure, but will the site accept the . and the space? Anyone have experience with special characters in the place of birth field?

if you mailed your app with tracking, you know when they received it. Then count 28 days from this date, and this is when you can start looking on website. If its not online within few days after 28-days waiting period, call them and ask. They will verify you and tell quickly if app is passed "initial processing" (this means they typed your info into database).

time line in BC

how long it takes these days to revive a new pal ? website says 45 days and I am already waiting 60 days:(
