Shorten PAL Approval Times

For those wondering, here is my completed Timeline, this is Ontario, new RPAL. I called in a couple times during the "In Progress" state and was simply told they aren't ready yet and to try again in a couple weeks.

Took CFSC Course: Oct 28
Mailed application and CFSC results: Nov 24
CP Shows received: Nov 28
Online: Jan 7th ish. Called in once to confirm information, this got it past the initial processing.
Called in Feb 6th, was advised I could have one reference call in. Had them call in about an hour later. Checked 10min after they called, status has been changed to Issued

Now just waiting for the good 'ole postman :d:d:d

RPAL as well. Sounds like a fun race we have!

Lol ontario vs quebec . I wonder who will Win ........ hahaha. My money's on you get yours a good couple of weeks before me . Just considering how slow everything goes in this province ( probly our cfo will let me down). But hey I could be surprised .

Interesting they just called. Calling them now. (I really hate the music it's like bad 80's pr0n music)
Note: during the process if you have a call blocking app on your smart phone make sure to allow anonymous calls.
Guess I didn't have my drivers license number on it. It was now the point to have my reference called. Fortunately he sits right next me so I dragged him over

Interesting, so reading previously some people said that after their reference called it was very shortly after that theirs got set to approved. Hasn't yet and since my reference hung up, I took the opportunity to call them back and make sure there was nothing else. The guy (different guy than last time I talked to ) said that at this point picture scan and then back off to CFO for approval. If nothing by end of month to call them. Buddy who went through prior said his was about two weeks when he did it about half year ago.

Mine took about 5 days following that status.

RPAL application. Arrived January 19, 2015 and went up today with payment processed on my credit card. Now the wait continues. Do I buy a bow or do I just save my money for the big day and keep firing the 10 meter air pistol. So many decisions. Like sand through the hour glass these are days of my PAL.

On Thursday I was told not ready call back in two weeks, today after seeing rikkards got his reference to call today and knowing they received mine 6 days prior to his I called back and sure enough they were ready (day 61). Reference called back quickly but status hasn't changed online, guessing a few more days like a few of the others recently.

I've decided I'm going to document the timeline of the entire process including how long it will take to get ATT's for the two handguns waiting to be picked up at the range. I'm then going to write a letter to my MP and ask him if he feels that this is a reasonable process to require of a law abiding citizen looking to take up a legal hobby and spend thousands of dollars supporting the economy in his riding?
