The California Competition carriers work well, but I wish they had a spring (somewhat like a mag spring) that would always keep the remaining shells at the top of the carrier. You will never lose any rounds, but as you start stripping out rounds you need to go lower and lower into the carrier making it slightly slower. They also can jiggle a little if not completely full.
I still think they are a good option, but would be that much better with a spring.
I have an SOE micro 12gauge rig. Amazing, solid. Will last many many many years.
It can hold 12 rounds in each of the 2 main compartments. And a full box in the side pouch.
You don't find the added weight on the sling, plus its movement when you are shooting to be a pain in the ass??
