most people dont need the 'experts' to tell them that a Perazzi or Parker or even a Benelli is a nicer gun than their 870 Express anymore than they need someone to tell them that a Ferrari is nicer than a Dodge Caliber. they know.
the difference is that many people simply have different priorities and either cant justify spending 2-20x as much on a 'nicer' gun, dont really care about aesthetics and view guns as tools, or feel that they would be wasted on a gun thats going to get slugged through the mud and snow.
just as the guy who buys the Dodge and is perfectly happy driving to work in it every day doesnt need an arrogant ass with a Ferrari telling him how much higher quality, better handling, nicer looking, etc his car is the people who are happy with their budget pumps dont need Fudds shoving their opinions down their throats on a daily basis either.
I guess it depends on your definition of "nicer"... personally I've never been all that fond of the way many of the so-called "nicer" shotguns look. And it certainly doesn't affect my shooting.
