Show off your Ruger No.1's

I just picked up a #3 in great shape in .375 Winchester came with 3 boxes of ammo dies and about 200 bullet barn cast bullets. Hopefully I can find more brass, sure is nice to shoot with the 200 grain factory ammo.

My well broken in 1A in 7x57 wearing a Leupold 2.5-8 and this year's fork horn.

My new Ruger No.1 in .475 Linebaugh showed up on friday (Thanks
Prophet River!), and today I found a minty Weaver 2.5 K series scope
at a small local gun show for 60 bucks. I think this will be an ideal
combination for the kind of shooting I enjoy around here.

I've owned Ruger No.3's in the past, but never a No.1(Dumbass me!)
Lets see what you folks have out there in these great rifles.
Stock or custom, bring 'em on.

Ruger #1 Varminter. Beautiful rifle, including the walnut which is not so visible here, some beautiful figure. Picked it up for $600 a decade or so ago. .204 Ruger call, thought the tiny bullet would do less fur damage. Wrong. Hit broadside it blew softball sized exit holes and worse. (This big maurauding dog was shot chest-on.) I never thought a bullet smaller than a .22 could be overkill, but it very much was. Disgusting little round. But a beautiful rifle, loved that part! Pure class! coyote ruger crop.JPG
