Show off your Ruger No.1's

One in the same yes. The 35 Whelen is still unfired but that's about to change in a day or two. It's going with me on my Elk hunt on the 15th. I'm missing an RSI in my collection right now. A 257 Roberts would fill a void nicely me thinks.

PM inbound...

1S .475 Linebaugh, recently purchased on CGN, from a great guy.

357

Very nice wood! I saw that one, but couldn't convince myself to buy it with a No.1-S .45/70 in the safe... it is very cool though.

Here is a new addition to my No.1 International X57 family;

Top - .257 Roberts
Middle - 7X57 Mauser
Bottom (New) - 7.62X57 (yet to be named)

How about one more... Top rifle is a .243... if 6mm would clean up a .243 chamber, I would have been pretty tempted... a four No.1-RSI set all on the X57 case, appeals to my OCD... ;)

1 - .243 Win... w/Leupold VX-3; 2.5-8X36mm
2 - .257 Roberts... w/Leupold VX-3; 2.5-8X36mm
3 - 7X57 Mauser... w/Leupold VX-3; 3.5-10X40mm
4 - 7.62X57 "Middle" Mauser... w/Leupold VX-3; 3.5-10X40mm

All of these No 1 pics caused me to buy another rifle I did not need LOL. I have a No 1s in 9.3x62 in the mail from Prophet River. I can't wait! Pretty happy with the 2013 prices too. I love my 35 Whelen bolt action I built so I thought I may as well stay with some nice medium bores. Hey you never know when you need to shoot a buffalo here in Saskatchewan. Lol.

As do I fuzzy39! Show yours off once you have it and I'll do the same.

Here is a New Pair of interesting ones;

The top rifle was mine at one time, imported from Florida... took me three years to locate, an exceedingly rare No.1-A .223... in a moment of stupidity, I sold it... and immediately regretted doing so... but I was able to re-procure it and am happy to make that happen.

The bottom rifle is a rare"ish" No.1-S in .218 Bee... in this condition (MINT) it is VERY rare... she is a real beauty... the 26" barrel balances the rifle nicely, with the balance point just ahead of the receiver.

I would have bought that 1A .223 if I had the scratch at the time. I was seriously considering it. Probably a good thing because you wouldn't have gotten it back so easy from me :)

Well then... I'm glad your wallet was bare!

Which rifle is in your picture a couple posts up?

beautiful i was given the same gun a few years back, i love the overall shortness but man is the thing heavy as sin for its size. shoot i replied wrong i was refering to the international in 7x57

Just realized while I'be plastered it everywhere, don't think the finished product ever made this thread!

Custom 7x57, RMR fitted the McGowen barrel, doublegun did the safety before I owned the frame, and frame has been slimmed .100", I did the stocks.

Such a spectacular stock!!! I never tire of seeing it... it would please me greatly if I could hold it some day... ;)
