My Dads #1, Not sure how heavy the barrel is but ... i think the gun needs wheels. Chambered in .243 and ive seen him pound iron at 1150 yrds. Quite the build. Dave at jennings outdoors did the work. Believe the barrel is a schilen

Top to bottom RSI .243, No.1B .218 Bee, No.1A .250 Savage SS/Walnut. I'm a sucker for the curious ones, chambering, or configuration wise. Don't have all of these any more they cycle, missing that .250 frankly and may build a custom SS RSI with a Krieger .257" stainless 1-9" blank I have.

Hmmm I herd it will be closed in 2014, not to sure. I have a good friend in SA we were planning on hunting near kruger and possibly also doing namibia. Hee was also mentioning Botswana as he has family there he his a retired SA Army Engineer. I am getting the wife practiced up on the 303 i will probably use the 375 on everything.

Just when I thought I had everything I needed found this last week and had to have it.
450 NE Elephant model in the Boddington Africa series, looks good next to the Roberts and 303 No. 1's.
Hoping to get to the range next weekend and give it a try.

Beauty, and great chambering. Looking forward to the 7mm STW No.1 too... ;)

Thanks and you should have it any day now and I hope you enjoy it.... it just didn't fit in with the others.

Hey Neil, not sure of the recoil I haven't fired it yet and fairly recent for Ruger rifles yes but glad they did.

Great rifles guys. Im not much of a Number 1 fan but this one caught my eye. Here is a 50 year anniversary 45-70 govt I picked up a few years back. Traditionalists will probably throw up a bit in your mouths but I really like the gold engraving and the wood is exceptional. Cheers,

I like all #1 rifles that have been shown here! I am down to just one now, a #1A stainless 7x57. It will be staying with me for a long time. I only have one picture of it, kind of a working shot

The 7x57 is the Leopard, Kudu is the .300 H&H.
The matte finish on them is great.

I had a regular 1-A that I wanted to have a Cera-kote type finish put on.
Called a couple places, they wouldn't do it on a No. 1 for fear of messing with tolerances.
I ended up selling that rifle.
