"Also, it would be illegal for it to go into Canada registered as an AOW with ATF/NFA.
Sorry to have to tell you this.
Jim"
Well first he's completely wrong on that statement, AOW can be exported from the U.S. it's the US State dept who has the last word on this. I should know that since mine was sourced and bought from a very well known Class 3 dealer in the U.S a few years ago, and i can prove that.
Second, i've seen a few genuine WP870 and they all have Winchoke on them, plus 3 guns magazines that clearly says that they have winchoke on them
( SWAT magazine August 1984, Special Weapons magazine 1988, Tactical Life magazine May 2017 )
Are you sure you got the real Jim Wilson ? How did you get ahold of him btw ? since he's been out of the firearms business for years, he must be in his 70s today.
Also, for your information, 240 of WP870 were made by Wilson for the U,S. Marshals Service in the early 1980s, and only 50 (Fifty) WP870 were made to be sold as AOW to the public or other LE agencies, and all of those 50 guns made by Wilson were made in 1984.
My gun was made in 1984.
