Is this the support group for short barrel shotgun addicts? My short barrel shotguns, past and present:
Dominion Arms Grizzly 12" 870 clone -sold (a decent shotgun but very heavy):
Dominion Arms Backpacker -sold (man what a POS that was, replaced with a cut down H&R Survivor):
1978 Vintage Wingmaster with modern 870P 14" barrel, (Tac-ord flex tab conversion and S&J oversize safety added since photo was taken):
870P 14" barrel w/lo-pro rifle sights, S&J +1 mag and oversize safety:
ATA Etro 14":
Tac-14 Marine, S&J +1 mag and oversize safety (Birdshead grip was not for me, replaced it with Magpul SGA stock):
Newest acquisition -870 Express with Dlask 8.5" conversion, nickel coated (bolt, pins and trigger group to be replaced with Rem Marine versions - it also needs some type of forend extension/handstop to be shootable):
I'm looking forward to taking this one to the range very soon for the first time. It makes the 14" 870s seem really long and awkward by comparison.
Update (Rem Marine trigger group, S&J jumbo safety, Magpul AFG) works great with Federal L.E. reduced recoil flight control 00 buck, 5" pattern at 18yds and super comfortable to shoot in this configuration:
