Showoff your SHORTY 12G SHOTTY (14" or under and Mods)!

There are a few Holsun dots that fit the RMR footprint as well.
That stock sure is purdy. As for the sight I'd probably stick a dot on there. I wonder if there's a plate for an RMR so you could co-witness irons.
I like the mossy actions too, the way the loading gate is out the way makes reloads seem easier. Like a funnel it gobbles up the shells.
Now put a mini shell adapter in there and you get some serious capacity.

Hey did you have a hard time getting the magpul forend on? I ordered one, looking to attach a flashlight to the forend.
That isn't a MAGPUL forend, its a Canuck knockoff of one.
The slots aren't MLOK spec but could maybe be opened up to be for mounting MLOK bits.

It took a good bit of grinding the innards of that hand guard to fit the Churchill, but for the $20 it cost I wasn't bothered if it didn't work out.

There is no way an actual MAGPUL forend would fit, much too large in comparison.

It is NR, due to it being a manual pump operation and some other arcane regulations. You can obtain one from IRG at an approximate, currency conversion-dependent cost of $1700 CAD. They retail for $1,200 USD, so with the conversion and brokerage, etc, the price is pretty fair. No kidneys required!
is it possible to get the 13" barrel seperately. I just bought a KSG but it came with the 18" barrel.

One of my 1970's 12 ga Wingmasters wearing a 14" Dlask 3" chambered, silver beaded barrel. An S&J +1 extension, high vis follower, and 4 shell shotcard. The sling is from Blueline (Vickers), a GG&G front mount (as it affixes to the tube rather than the extension), a Groveteck limited rotation rear sling QD cup and a Magpul QDM swivel.

I might yet get an extended safety, but as you can tell I kinda like the olde school look, so I'm on the fence about that.
She's a rock solid, very handy, shotgun.

Awesome rig buddy!

I have the extended safety on my 14" 870 and I very much enjoy it for gloved hands or if it's cold out and my fingers are bare.
It doesn't protrude too much, looks wise, if you're worried about keeping the old school look consistent but it is functionally a much better option to the stock one.

Thank you.

My latest project. This started as a Mossberg 835 Turkey gun. For those who don't know, the 835 is a 3.5" magnum, 10 bore shotgun with choke tubes for patterning.
I wanted the 835 for the receiver (loading 3" (or 2.75") shells in a 3.5" receiver is foolproof.). It wears a 14" 590A1 barrel, Defender Tactical safety and big brass bead. The barrel has a heat shield (the thick barrel really holds heat). I have also put a stand-off, "git along lil-doggie" device on the mag tube cap. The mag tube has been changed to a phosphated 5 shell 590 A1 one from the original blued 835 one. (looking at you Mossberg, whomsoever thought it a good idea to red loctite the 835 mag tube into the receiver, is an a sshole..fu. :cautious: )
The shotgun wears an S&J 4 shell shotgun card, and for sighting (aside from the bead) I found a nice Swampfox Liberty II multi-reticle and a mount that I'm not overly satisfied with; the height is fine, but it hangs out past the receiver too much in my opinion, and I'd also like it closer to the rear of the receiver. I have a GG&G mount inbound to remedy that.
I'll eventually also install a GG&G front sling mount (as it affixes to the tube rather than the extension), and a Groveteck limited rotation rear sling QD cup into the right side of the stock and a Magpul QDM swivel. The rubber gel pad will also likely find its way off the gun.
I hope to get to the range this weekend to sight it in.

Serengeti S Tactical. Vortex spitfire. Carlson’s tactical breecher and Carlson’s buckshot shot extended chokes. 50 rounds and not 1 issue. Extremely tight action. Opened and closed it nearly 100 times before putting rounds through her and even after 50 shots still pretty tight but getting better. This thing is FUN!
