Sig 226 Navy Or Legion

Good thing is any other firearm i buy will most likely be cheaper than the first LOL.

Funniest thing I've read all day. Good luck with that. Hope you turn down every chance you get to shoot nice 1911's, X5's, Pardini's, etc.

Congrats on the purchase, nice gun. Did you get the DA/SA or SAO?

Have you fired either of the P226 Legion models?

Yes, i have tried a friends P226 Legion. I have an Elite Dark and I would not trade it for a Legion. I was not impressed. Mine shot just as well. Ive also shot the LDC. The additional aluminum extension on the dust cover does not increase accuracy by any noticable amount (in my hands).

Legions are also known for having cut corners: forgotten front serrations, slide finish wearing off, etc. And in Canada do Legion owners have access to the Legion Fan Boy store to buy all the swag? Im actually asking as i dont know...

Not to mention the older Elite's have a better beaver tail profile. This is only cosmetic, but the new tails are flat. The older tails have a curve like a 1911.

If you want improved accuracy get an X5, or X6, or a mastershop.

I have heard of some finish concerns, mostly having to do with the PVD coating being thin. No issues with my Legion or my husband's Legion.

MDC is working on the swag part as far as I know.

If you have not fired the SAO version, you really must try it if you have a chance.

IMO, the trigger and sights are worth the price of admission over a regular 226. The rest is just icing on the cake.
I'd add the grips, too. I'm super-fussy about my handgun grips and I find the Legion's to be one of the best I've ever used.

The LDC is a completely steel gun, from the master shop. IMO far better gun at a similar price.

Oops, ha you're right, LDC is definitely a full steel frame. Typo on my end. Nevertheless I still didn't shoot it any better than my elite.

The friend I've got had them all lined up on the table and we both tried them all: p226 legion, LDC, x6, and my elite. His X6 was the winner by a very noticeable amount. That thing is a laser beam.

He sold the Legion not long after our little shoot off...

I don't know that the Legion was made to compete in the accuracy department with the X series or LDC- I'm thinking it was made to be more of a perfect carry/combat pistol. I could be wrong, but that was my take on the two that I owned

My X5 Alround is more accurate than my LDC, but my LDC is better than my Legion. The Legion is a production gun with a few add ons. The X guns and the LDC are target pistols.

I was talking about 'trigger feel', not accuracy. Very little will compete with an X-Six. I would certainly not expect any Legion to compete with an X-Five or an X-Six in terms of accuracy.

Well, trigger feel between my Elite and his Legion were pretty much the same (to me). There was no 'wow what a trigger' moment when i was shooting it. but he did not have the SAO version that youve mentioned, so i would actually like to try that to compare. I will have to find a way to convince my friend to get it as its out of my budget for sure. The flat trigger does look cool, ill give you that :)

You are spot on Tom. I love my Allround and LDC. I would even consider selling my LDC for the LDC II if they ever come to Canada. Although the LDC is technically a production gun from Germany with some Mastershop items in it, it is still a little more refined for accuracy and trigger feel than the Legion. I want to know how the P320 X-Five compares to the LDC and Allround next.

RC Fan. I knew that you would provide some input on this thread. Do you own an X5/6 SOA? I'm always tempted to pick up a X6 SOA whenever I see an site sponsor's advert.

I never really liked sig before I picked up the legion. after I picked one up I had to have one. Very happy with the purchase. It's probably one I will never get rid of

LDC II? Is there such a thing or are you wishful thinking?

Where do you send in registration to get case and coin???

I recently bought an SAO legion. Haven't fired it yet, but in terms of 'feel' and trigger control, I prefer my P239.

Interesting - I`m possibly in the market for a Legion or similar and the SAO was one of the favourites owing to pretty much everyone saying how good they are

congrats...some pics of both for those who come across this thread in the future lol
