Sig 226 Navy Or Legion

RC Fan. I knew that you would provide some input on this thread. Do you own an X5/6 SOA? I'm always tempted to pick up a X6 SOA whenever I see an site sponsor's advert.

Sorry, for some reason I did not notice your question until now. The X-Series Sigs are my favourite of any pistol I have ever tried. An X-Five or X-Six with the adjustable SAO trigger is amazing.

I recently bought an SAO legion. Haven't fired it yet, but in terms of 'feel' and trigger control, I prefer my P239.

For some reason you must actually fire the Legion SAO to fully appreciate it.

Interesting - I`m possibly in the market for a Legion or similar and the SAO was one of the favourites owing to pretty much everyone saying how good they are

I hope you get to try one--they are awesome!

Legion comes with 3 mags. If you only received two contact your dealer.
Should i go through MDC route to get the case/coin goodies. Or I should just register an address @ point roberts?

Ha ha ha, perhaps a little late to the gate.......the legion is just a dressed up P226 like the previous iteration 226, the Nitron. Just a marketing gimmick it seems.
Skip the P226 and the legion and buy the superior CZ Shadow2. Better value, better sights, less money, longer barrel, & locks up at the front & back of the slide unlike the bushing less Sigs...

Comparing the P226 Legion, which is intended more as a duty/defense pistol with the pure-competition Shadow 2 is sort of an apples-oranges comparison. I've not tried the Shadow 2 so I can't comment on it, but I know the original Shadow was a very good pistol. However, you're wrong about the Legion—it has some worthwhile real-world-usable features that standard P226s don't: excellent high visibility sights, a very good trigger (the Grayguns P-SAIT) which is adjustable for overtravel, and maybe the best factory grips I've ever had on a pistol. The re-contoured frame and finish add a bit, too. It's a shame that SIG chose to put so much marketing hype around the pistol (the coins, stickers, and other swag) and not focus on the features that make it a superior SIG.

The Shadow2 is nothing more than an overweight Shadow designed to compete in IPSC Production. It follows several varying iterations of the 75/SP-01 series all priced slightly higher than the next; all of which had one more bell and whistle to entice the buyer. I don't understand why you would get upset that SIG did the same thing. It seems to have worked in both cases. It's called marketing, and it works. In the absence of practice, instruction and most of all talent no one has ever been a better shooter in the process ....just an asset converter ie cash to gun. Guilty as charged. :>)

Take Care
